Katrine Gro Friborg is an interdisciplinary scientist working with the Tree Productivity and Diversity Theme at World Agroforestry (Landscape Alliance) and the University of Copenhagen. Her work focuses on forests and forest access and user rights, i.e., ecology of forests, Indigenous traditional knowledge and ethnobotanical use of native trees, and the intersectional levels of inequities related to forest rights, access, and use of forest resources related to gender, and other social dimensions of power, privileges or discriminations. Katrine works in East Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, and is the Quality Tree Seed for Africa Project Country Team Lead for Kenya, with Landscape Alliance.
