Associate Scientist, Coordinator Sustainable Woodfuel – Yangambi Engagement Landscape

Jolien holds a master’s degree in Development Studies and a PhD from the Forest and Nature Conservation Policy Group. She brings over two decades of experience working with development and research organizations on issues related to natural resources and sustainable livelihoods in sub-Saharan Africa. At Landscape Alliance (CIFOR-ICRAF) Jolien has worked on woodfuel-related issues in the Congo Basin since 2009 and coordinated a multi-country initiative on sustainable woodfuel under the Governing Multifunctional Landscapes Program. Currently, her work focuses on developing viable models to scale up sustainable woodfuel solutions within the Yangambi Engagement Landscape in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
