Erik Meijaard

Erik Meijaard has worked as a forest conservation scientist in Indonesia since 1992. He has broad research interests, ranging from mammal taxonomy and Asian biogeography to conservation economics, forest management, and spatial optimization studies. He has worked for CIFOR as a consultant on many occasions, resulting among others in the publication of the high cited “Life after Logging” book which emphasizes the importance of logged forest for wildlife conservation.
