Ent\u00e3o multas n\u00e3o t\u00eam sido um elemento eficaz de intimida\u00e7\u00e3o. H\u00e1 cerca de U$ 4,3 bilh\u00f5es (R $ 6,9 bilh\u00f5es) em multas n\u00e3o pagas por a\u00ed. A imensa maioria n\u00e3o \u00e9 efetivamente executada&#8221;, disse ele.<\/p>\n<p>May disse que juntamente com um judici\u00e1rio fraco, incapaz de for\u00e7ar os infratores a pagar as multas, a for\u00e7a policial e os \u00f3rg\u00e3os ambientais t\u00eam estado mal equipados e incapazes de efetivamente reprimir o desmatamento ilegal.
