{"id":91624,"date":"2025-03-17T21:37:23","date_gmt":"2025-03-17T14:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/?p=91624"},"modified":"2025-08-04T07:49:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T00:49:09","slug":"hutan-sejuk-sistem-pendingin-alami-bumi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/id\/91624\/hutan-sejuk-sistem-pendingin-alami-bumi","title":{"rendered":"Hutan Sejuk: Solusi Alami Menurunkan Suhu Bumi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ketika kita menghadapi kenyataan pahit bahwa suhu global pada tahun 2024 untuk pertama kalinya melebihi ambang batas 1,5\u00b0C yang ditetapkan oleh Perjanjian Paris, kita semakin menyadari pentingnya peran hutan dan pohon dalam mengatur iklim.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kekuatan pendinginan dari pepohonan<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pepohonan secara aktif memberikan keteduhan yang signifikan, mengurangi suhu permukaan tanah hingga 2-8\u00b0C di daerah perkotaan dan hingga 15\u00b0C di daerah pedesaan. Efek peneduhan ini secara langsung menekan efek pulau panas perkotaan, di mana suhu kota biasanya 1-3\u00b0C lebih tinggi dibandingkan daerah pedesaan sekitarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, pepohonan juga mendinginkan udara melalui evapotranspirasi, yaitu proses penguapan air dari daun dan tanah di sekitarnya. Saat air menguap, proses ini menyerap panas dari udara, secara efektif menurunkan suhu lokal. Pohon dewasa dapat melepaskan hingga 400 liter air setiap hari, menciptakan efek penyejuk udara alami. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa satu pohon besar mampu menghasilkan efek pendinginan setara dengan 10-unit pendingin ruangan yang beroperasi selama 20 jam per hari.<\/p>\n<p>Efek albedo hutan secara aktif berperan dalam mengatur suhu, meskipun mekanismenya kompleks. Hutan tropis dan hutan beriklim sedang memiliki albedo rendah dibandingkan dengan tutupan lahan lainnya, sehingga menyerap lebih banyak radiasi matahari dan berkontribusi terhadap pendinginan. Sebaliknya, hutan boreal dengan kanopi yang lebih gelap menunjukkan dinamika unik, di mana deforestasi justru dapat menyebabkan pendinginan akibat efek albedo permukaan yang kuat. Aerosol ini kemudian memengaruhi pembentukan awan dan pola curah hujan, yang secara tidak langsung berdampak pada suhu lokal dan global.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, hutan yang sehat berfungsi sebagai penyerap karbon yang signifikan. Saat ini, hutan di seluruh dunia menyerap sekitar 7,6 miliar ton CO2 setiap tahun, setara dengan sekitar 20% emisi yang dihasilkan manusia. Hutan tropis sendiri menyimpan sekitar 250 miliar ton karbon dalam biomassa mereka. Kapasitas penyerapan karbon ini bervariasi tergantung pada usia dan jenis hutan, dengan hutan tropis dewasa mampu menyerap sekitar 2,4 ton karbon per hektar setiap tahun.<\/p>\n<p>Sayangnya, deforestasi dan perubahan iklim secara aktif mengancam kemampuan hutan dalam mengatur suhu. Hilangnya hutan di berbagai wilayah tidak hanya mengurangi manfaat pendinginan, tetapi juga memicu lingkaran umpan balik, di mana peningkatan suhu memperburuk tekanan terhadap hutan dan meningkatkan risiko kematian pohon. Akibatnya, beberapa hutan yang sebelumnya berfungsi sebagai penyerap karbon dapat berubah menjadi sumber emisi karbon.<\/p>\n<p>Deforestasi secara drastis meningkatkan suhu global, dengan dampaknya yang telah terdokumentasi dengan baik. Antara tahun 2000 dan 2023, dunia kehilangan lebih dari 130 juta hektar hutan tropis. Kehilangan besar ini secara signifikan mendorong kenaikan suhu global, di mana wilayah yang mengalami deforestasi mencatat peningkatan suhu hingga 4\u00b0C dibandingkan dengan daerah berhutan di sekitarnya. (Penurunan curah hujan akibat deforestasi adalah cerita lain yang tak kalah penting.<\/p>\n<p>Seiring dengan meningkatnya suhu, hutan semakin menghadapi tekanan akibat kekeringaan dan kebakaran, yang berpotensi mengubahnya dari penyerap karbon menjadi sumber emisi karbon. Misalnya, kebakaran hutan di Australia pada 2019-2020 melepaskan sekitar 830 juta ton CO\u2082, menunjukkan bagaimana perubahan iklim dapat memicu lingkaran umpan balik yang menghancurkan.<\/p>\n<p>Penelitian telah menegaskan bahwa hutan dan pepohonan adalah salah satu alat alami paling ampuh untuk mengatur suhu global dan mengurangi dampak perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n<p>Tindakan mendesak diperlukan di berbagai bidang:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Melindungi hutan yang masih utuh atau hampir utuh<\/li>\n<li>Mendorong inisiatif reboisasi dan penghijauan yang baik<\/li>\n<li>Menerapkan praktik-praktik pengelolaan hutan yang berkelanjutan<\/li>\n<li>Mengintegrasikan perlindungan dan restorasi hutan ke dalam kebijakan iklim<\/li>\n<li>Mendukung masyarakat hutan adat sebagai penjaga tanah<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Pelanggaran ambang batas 1,5\u00b0C pada tahun 2024 menegaskan perlunya tindakan tegas untuk melindungi dan memperluas sumber daya hutan. Hutan berperan penting dalam mengatur suhu dan menyerap karbon, menjadikannya sekutu utama dalam upaya melawan perubahan iklim. Namun, tutupan hutan global terus menurun sejak tahun 2000, dengan kehilangan hutan primer yang paling parah terjadi di wilayah tropis.<\/p>\n<p>Meskipun beberapa negara berhasil meningkatkan upaya reboisasi, kehilangan hutan primer terus berlangsung dengan kecepatan mengkhawatirkan, mencapai sekitar 3,8 juta hektar per tahun.
