Sebab, kelompoknya telah diberi mandat untuk melindungi dan memantau kawasan hutan desa seluas 553 hektare itu untuk jangka waktu 35 tahun. Ketika dia kemudian mengetahui bahwa pengusaha tersebut kini sedang menjalani hukuman penjara karena kasus penipuan, dia merasa semakin yakin bahwa keputusannya yang lalu itu sudah benar.<\/p>                        <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n        \n\n        <style>\n            \n                # .story-row.side-block.justify-content-start::before{\n                    background-color:rgb(0,0,0);\n                    height:800vh\";\n                }\n\n                # .story-row.side-block.justify-content-end::after{\n                    background-color:rgb(0,0,0);\n                    height:800vh\";\n                }\n\n                        <\/style>\n        <div id=\"\" class=\"story-section p-5  bg-light storybackgroundscrollmation\" data-obj='{ \"index\":8}'>\n            <div class=\"story-container index-100\">\n                <div class=\"story-row d-flex justify-content-center \">\n                    <div class=\"col-lg-5 col-md-10\">\n                        <div class=\"story-content text-dark\" >\n                            <div class=\"vh-90\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"textbox textbox-white radius-5\" style=\"background-color: #333; color: #eaeaea; font-weight: 200;\">\nLDPHD merupakan kolaborator utama proyek Sungsang Mangrove Restoration and Ecotourism (SMART), sebuah usaha berbasis riset aksi partisipatif (PAR) yang dilaksanakan Pusat Penelitian Kehutanan Internasional dan Agroforestri Dunia (CIFOR-ICRAF) bekerja sama dengan Universitas Sriwijaya dan Forum Daerah Aliran Sungai Sumatra Selatan, pada tahun 2021-2025.\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vh-90\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"textbox textbox-white radius-5\" style=\"background-color: #333; color: #eaeaea; font-weight: 200;\">\n\nPada 2023, LDPHD menandatangani perjanjian kerja sama dengan sebuah perusahaan swasta untuk pengembangan perhutanan sosial di kawasan hutan lindung itu. Tahun ini, mereka juga mulai bekerja sama dengan sebuah perusahaan swasta lain dalam program \u2018adopsi pohon\u2019. Program ini merupakan upaya untuk melibatkan lebih banyak pemangku kepentingan yang beragam dalam inisiatif restorasi\u2014dan membantu memastikan keberlanjutan upaya pembibitan, penanaman, pemeliharaan, dan pemantauan mangrove setelah proyek SMART berakhir.\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vh-90\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"textbox textbox-white radius-5\" style=\"background-color: #333; color: #eaeaea; font-weight: 200;\">\n\n\u201cKami ingin masyarakat memahami bahwa hal terpenting adalah merawat mangrove, bukan sekadar menanamnya,\u201d kata Beni Okarda, peneliti senior di CIFOR-ICRAF. \u201cPohon mangrove barulah dapat tumbuh mandiri setelah berusia tiga tahun; untuk sampai umur itu, mereka perlu dipantau dan dirawat.\u201d\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vh-90\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"textbox textbox-white radius-5\" style=\"background-color: #333; color: #eaeaea; font-weight: 200;\">Hingga Juni 2024, proyek SMART telah menanam kembali 48.353 bibit mangrove lokal di lahan seluas 15,8 hektare di empat arena aksi, yang merupakan kawasan terdegradasi di Desa Sungsang IV dan Marga Sungsang. Proyek ini berfokus pada eksplorasi bagaimana upaya pemulihan mangrove di Sungsang dapat meningkatkan kondisi ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat setempat. \u201cItulah sebabnya kami menciptakan berbagai model bisnis yang diharapkan bisa menghasilkan pendapatan untuk masyarakat,\u201d kata Agus Andrianto, peneliti lainnya di CIFOR-ICRAF.<\/div>\n<div class=\"vh-90\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"textbox textbox-white radius-5\" style=\"background-color: #333; color: #eaeaea; font-weight: 200;\">\n\nUntuk itu, di Marga Sungsang, proyek ini memfasilitasi usaha wanamina kepiting (crab silvofishery) berbasis masyarakat, dengan menggunakan sistem akuakultur tradisional yang menggabungkan kegiatan budi daya kepiting dengan penanaman mangrove di dua kolam seluas 0,319 hektare. Panen pertama mereka diproyeksikan menghasilkan sekitar 240 kilogram kepiting. Sementara itu, di Sungsang IV, proyek SMART mendukung kelompok masyarakat setempat untuk memulai usaha pembibitan mangrove, yang kini telah menjual bibit-bibit itu ke perusahaan dan lembaga yang terlibat dalam restorasi.\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vh-90\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"textbox textbox-white radius-5\" style=\"background-color: #333; color: #eaeaea; font-weight: 200;\">\n\n\u201cAlhamdulillah, masyarakat sudah menyadari bahwa tanpa harus membuka hutan mangrove, mereka bisa mendapatkan manfaat dari hutan itu,\u201d kata Kepala Desa Sungsang IV, Romi Adi Candra.
