Merespon hal ini, komunitas botani global bersiap meluncurkan sertifikasi pertama di dunia untuk mengakui inisiatif manajemen lahan yang meningkatkan &#8212; alih-alih menurunkan &#8212; biodiversitas seraya menyerap karbon dan berkontribusi pada penghidupan yang resilen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pada konferensi perubahan iklim tahunan PBB (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cop28.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">COP28<\/a>), Direktur Sains Kew Royal Botanic Gardens Alexandre Antonelli <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor-icraf.org\/event\/cifor-icraf-at-unfccc-cop28\/63077\/the-global-biodiversity-standard-at-cop28\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">mengumumkan<\/a> bahwa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biodiversitystandard.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Standar Biodiversitas Global<\/a>, yang disusun sejak COP26 diharapkan diluncurkan pada paruh-2024. Buku manual berisi seluruh spesifikasi teknis akan segera dipublikasikan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cStandar Biodiversitas Global merupakan satu perangkat yang kuat dalam mengejar kualitas proyek restorasi dan mengatasi laju ekspansi kelemahan desain skema penanaman pohon yang mempercepat penurunan biodiversitas,\u201d kata Antonelli, yang mencatat bahwa sertifikasi yang ada mengizinkan penanaman spesies invasif dan gagal memberi insentif besar untuk menanam spesies asli atau spesies terancam punah.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dengan mendorong penanaman masif pohon non-asli, lanjutnya, maksud baik inisiatif bahkan membahayakan spesies dan ekosistem dengan memasukkan hama dan penyakit baru serta menghabiskan sumber air.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keberlangsungan spesies pohon asli dan terancam menjadi masalah bagi integritas ekosistem dan jasa yang diberikan pada manusia, seperti polinasi.
