{"id":82740,"date":"2023-05-11T12:10:30","date_gmt":"2023-05-11T05:10:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/?p=82740"},"modified":"2025-08-04T07:49:24","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T00:49:24","slug":"mengapa-sekarang-saat-yang-tepat-untuk-pohon-hutan-dan-agroforestri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/id\/82740\/mengapa-sekarang-saat-yang-tepat-untuk-pohon-hutan-dan-agroforestri","title":{"rendered":"Mengapa Sekarang Saat yang Tepat untuk Pohon, Hutan, dan Agroforestri"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pada saat saya bergabung dengan <em>The Center for International Forestry Research <\/em>(CIFOR) pada 1999, organisasi ini baru berusia enam tahun, dengan 60 orang staf yang dari berbagai latar belakang ilmu dan mengemban suatu misi untuk membangun solusi bagi masalah-masalah yang terkait dengan hutan yang mengintegrasikan kepentingan sosial dan lingkungan. Indonesia, negara tuan rumah CIFOR, negara demokrasi terbesar ketiga pada tahun itu dan selanjutnya terus menunjukkan kepemimpinan dalam kemitraan yang telah berlangsung tiga dekade.<\/p>\n<p>Mengingat situasi waktu itu, dunia internasional mulai berpikir untuk mengubah pandangan mereka tentang hutan dari semata-mata \u201cpabrik kayu\u201d ke pemikiran untuk mengenali nilai dan potensi sesungguhnya hutan untuk bisa mencapai berbagai target global. CIFOR selalu menolak padangan satu-solusi-tepat-untuk-semua (<em>one-size-fits-all<\/em>) untuk soal kehutanan. Prinsip-prinsip yang membedakan dari pandangan sebelumnya yaitu bahwa solusi tersebut harus mempertimbangkan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/82531\/from-sustainable-forest-management-to-restoration?fnl=\">kebutuhan manusia<\/a> (termasuk kelompok perempuan dan kelompok marjinal), yang harus diketahui oleh para pemegang kebijakan bukan hanya oleh peneliti namun dengan masukan dari para pemangku kepentingan di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor-icraf.org\/gcs\/research-themes\/multilevel-governance\/multi-stakeholder-forums\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">berbagai tingkatan<\/a>, dan strategi yang disusun harus melakukan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor-icraf.org\/research\/engagement-landscapes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">pendekatan lanskap<\/a> secara holistik dari konteks lokal-hal-hal yang sekarang sudah menjadi arus utama dalam penyusunan strategi.<\/p>\n<p>Saat ini, hutan telah diketahui secara luas merupakan suatu ekosistem yang amat kompleks yang berada tepat di jantung persoalan-persoalan sumber air, mata pencaharian penduduk setempat, keamanan ketersediaan pangan dan nutrisi, dan keseimbangan iklim. Lahan basah dan mangrove-yang dulu dipandang sebagai lahan tidak bermanfaat yang dapat diubah menjadi peternakan udang-sekarang mulai dipahami sebagai cadangan karbon yang amat besar, kita harus berterima kasih pada <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/ngeo1123\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">penelitian-penelitian terobosan<\/a> yang dilakukan CIFOR. Pohon bisa membuat oasis kelembaban dan keanekaragaman hayati (kehati) di daerah yang kering dan menjadi koridor untuk satwa liar di dalam suatu perkebunan. Dan era \u201ckonservasi adalah benteng\u201d telah berlalu sejalan dengan hasil riset yang menunjukkan pentingnya kontribusi dari masyarakat adat pada konservasi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldwildlife.org\/stories\/recognizing-indigenous-peoples-land-interests-is-critical-for-people-and-nature\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">kehati<\/a>, penyerapan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wri.org\/insights\/amazon-carbon-sink-indigenous-forests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">karbon<\/a>, dan <a href=\"https:\/\/e360.yale.edu\/features\/brazil-atlantic-forest-indigenous-land-bees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">restorasi lanskap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Riset hutan CIFOR telah lama menjangkau persoalan yang lebih luas. Riset komparatif global menyingkap fakta betapa pentingnya peran hutan terhadap <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.cifor.org\/pen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">mata pencaharian<\/a> masyarakat lokal, yang secara langsung memengaruhi survei-survei tentang bagaimana Bank Dunia melakukan Pengukuran Standar Hidup. Penelitian-penelitian lebih baru membuka betapa pentingnya hutan dan makanan yang ada di dalamnya dalam hal kandung <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor-icraf.org\/knowledge\/publication\/8598\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">nutrisi<\/a>, termasuk pemanfaatan berkelanjutan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor.org\/knowledge\/publication\/7046\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">satwa dan tumbuhan liar<\/a>. Bukti-bukti ilmiah, analisis, dan keahlian teknis telah mendukung  pembangunan kebijakan di tingkat nasional dan subnasional di antaranya yaitu tentang pengelolaan hutan, ekonomi hijau, aksi iklim, lahan basah, dan rantai nilai. Dan dari cikal bakalnya pada Hari Hutan yang pertama yang diadakan saat konferensi iklim PBB di Bali, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.globallandscapesforum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Global Landscape Forum<\/a> <\/em>(GLF) telah berkembang menjadi sebuah gerakan global terdepan dalam hal lanskap berkelanjutan, sejauh ini telah menghubungkan lebih dari 1,7 miliar orang, dari para pemimpin muda sampai ke donor-donor besar multilateral.<\/p>\n<p>World Agroforestry (ICRAF) juga melakukan pendekatan holistik yang dilakukan CIFOR untuk lanskap pertanian. Lebih dari 40 tahun, ICRAF telah berupaya menemukan keseimbangan antara pertanian dan lingkungan, menggunakan terminologi \u201cagroforestri\u201d untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan global akan peran penting pohon pada pertanian dan menekankan pentingnya mendasarkan solusi pada <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor-icraf.org\/research\/topic\/agroecology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">pendekatan pertanian ekologis<\/a> dengan mempertimbangkan konteks.<\/p>\n<p>Pada 2018 saat kami memutuskan untuk menyatukan kedua organisasi, banyak yang berpikir mengapa kami tidak melakukannya lebih cepat-terutama karena CIFOR memulai kerjanya di kantor ICRAF di Bogor, Indonesia. Setelah <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cifor-icraf.org\/knowledge\/publication\/8594\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">tiga tahun proses merger berjalan<\/a>, organisasi baru kami CIFOR-ICRAF \u2013 sepenuhnya menjadi satu pada 2022 \u2013 menjadikan gabungan 75 tahun pengalaman  ke dalam suatu jaringan kemitraan di 60 negara, dengan lebih dari 730 staf yang berdedikasi membentuk arus diskusi global dengan temuan-temuan riset canggih dan aksi di tingkat tapak. Sebagai bagian dari merger, kami juga meluncurkan <a href=\"https:\/\/resilient-landscapes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Resilient Landscapes<\/em><\/a>, suatu langkah inovasi yang menjadi jembatan untuk suatu pandangan tindakan didorong-dampak (<em>impact-driven<\/em>) antara  sains dan bisnis, pembiayaan, pemerintahan, dan masyarakat sipil. Informasi terbaru, kami telah menyelesaikan lebih dari 2.200 proyek dengan nilai lebih dari 2 miliar dollar AS di 92 negara, dan menerbitkan lebih dari 25.000 produk riset-termasuk melalui situs, pemberitaan, kanal-kanal media sosial, dan berbagai acara.<\/p>\n<p>Kerja yang sedemikian besar secara kolektif menyoroti potensi hutan, pohon, dan agroforestri untuk menanggapi tantangan global seperti perubahan iklim dan hilangnya kehati, juga mendukung untuk keamanan pangan dan penghasilan yang lebih berkelanjutan bagi mereka yang paling terpinggirkan.
