Sayangnya seringkali manfaat pohon sebagai penghasil pangan belum diketahui luas.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut seorang peneliti agroforestri, banyak spesies pohon memberi manfaat kesehatan bagi jutaan orang.<\/p>\n<p>Penting untuk memastikan \u201cpohon pangan\u201d ini tersedia dan berkontribusi bagi pola makan sehat, penyediaan vitamin dan mineral, menurut Catharine Watson, Kepala Kemitraan Pusat Penelitian Kehutanan Internasional (CIFOR) dan Agroforestri Dunia (ICRAF), disadur dari laman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2021\/02\/three-trees-that-nourish-millions-while-restoring-land\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Forum Ekonomi Dunia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTahun ini adalah Tahun Buah dan Sayur Internasional &#8211; mari kita pastikan bahwa fungsi pohon tidak dilupakan dan kontribusinya bagi ketahanan pangan diakui luas,\u201d ujarnya, seraya menambahkan bahwa pohon pangan &#8211; di antaranya spesies asli &#8211;  berperan signifikan dalam mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dan Dekade tentang Restorasi Ekosistem PBB 2021-2030, yang akan diluncurkan Juni 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Tingkat gizi yang lebih baik membantu mencegah stunting, yang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\/item\/19-11-2015-stunting-in-a-nutshell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">didefinisikan<\/a> oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) sebagai gangguan tumbuh kembang anak akibat gizi buruk.
