Para peneliti mengusulkan 10 prinsip pengelolaan bentang alam untuk meningkatkan penyerapan karbon, memberikan manfaat bagi keanekaragaman hayati, jasa lingkungan, dan menciptakan mata pencaharian berkelanjutan.<\/p>\n<p>Usulan ini terangkum dalam jurnal ilmiah <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldagroforestry.org\/blog\/2021\/01\/26\/golden-rules-restoring-forestland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Global Change Biology<\/em><\/a> yang merinci penelitian ekologi terbaru.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut para peneliti, berbagai tantangan upaya restorasi bentang alam di antaranya target capaian yang terlalu tinggi, berpindahnya keanekaragaman hayati asli, meningkatnya spesies invasif, berkurangnya spesies penyerbuk, menurunnya produksi makanan akibat terbatasnya lahan pertanian, terganggunya siklus air, serta penurunan kadar karbon biomassa dan karbon organik tanah.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cFaktor-faktor ini berkaitan dengan lebih besar lahan digunakan untuk kebun monokultur dibandingkan upaya restorasi yang mendorong keanekaragaman spesies pohon asli yang kaya karbon,\u201d menurut hasil riset, yang juga mencatat hanya sepertiga dari komitmen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonnchallenge.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tantangan Bonn<\/a> dan skema lain-lain ditujukan untuk memulihkan hutan alami.<\/p>\n<p>Berdasarkan kesepakatan Tantangan Bonn, negara-negara bersedia untuk merestorasi 150 juta hektar lahan pada 2020 dan 350 juta hektar pada 2030 sebagai bagian dari <a href=\"https:\/\/forestdeclaration.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Deklarasi New York tentang Hutan<\/a>, yang disetujui dalam <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cop20.pe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">pembicaraan iklim<\/a> PBB 2014.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Memulihkan degradasi lahan akibat deforestasi di bentang alam merupakan tantangan besar, dan inisiatif penanaman pohon sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk mengimbangi emisi karbon dioksida ternyata sebenarnya dapat memperburuk masalah.
