{"id":64576,"date":"2020-03-12T14:47:19","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T07:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/?p=64576"},"modified":"2020-03-12T14:47:19","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T07:47:19","slug":"di-indonesia-pimpinan-agama-dan-adat-bersatu-melindungi-hutan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/id\/64576\/di-indonesia-pimpinan-agama-dan-adat-bersatu-melindungi-hutan","title":{"rendered":"Di Indonesia, pimpinan agama dan adat bersatu melindungi hutan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lebih dari 250 pemimpin agama hadir di Jakarta mengupayakan kesepakatan perlindungan hutan hujan tropis Indonesia pada peluncuran <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interfaithrainforest.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Interfaith Rainforest Initiative<\/a> (IRI) Januari lalu.<\/p>\n<p>Berlangsung selama dua hari, pertemuan IRI berhasil mempertemukan pimpinan agama dan perwakilan masyarakat adat dari kawasan hutan di seluruh Indonesia bersama dengan wakil dari peneliti, pemerintahan, perwakilan, lembaga swadaya masyarakat serta perwakilan PBB juga hadir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPertemuan ini memberi inspirasi akan visi baru tentang kolaborasi dari berbagai tradisi kepercayaan untuk mengakhiri deforestasi hutan tropis dan melindungi hak masyarakat adat.\u201d kata Joseph Corcoran, kordinator Program Lingkungan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (UN Environment) atas inisiatif ini.<\/p>\n<p>Pada 2017, Program Lingkungan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa meluncurkan inisiasi awal, suatu aliansi multi-agama yang bekerja bersama guna mengakhiri deforestasi hutan tropis. Diharapkan melalui aliansi pimpinan agama dan komunitas adat dari berbagai tingkatan bersedia memberikan komitmen mendukung perlindungan hutan tropis.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333; cursor: text; font-family: 'PT Serif',serif; font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Konservasi hutan disebut sebagai satu strategi kunci kontribusi pemenuhan tujuan <a href=\"https:\/\/unfccc.int\/process-and-meetings\/the-paris-agreement\/the-paris-agreement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Kesepakatan Paris<\/a> tentang perubahan iklim guna menghentikan peningkatan suhu rata-rata sampai 1.5 derajat celcius atau lebih dan mencegah bencana dampak perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam pertemuan tersebut para pimpinan agama dan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aman.or.id\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Aliansi Masyarakat Adat Nusantara<\/a> merilis deklarasi bersama bertempat di kantor Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKerusakan dan hilangnya hutan tropis tidak sejalan dengan ajaran dan prinsip-prinsip agama, kepercayaan dan nilai-nilai tradisional, termasuk konstitusi negara, yang mengamanatkan bahwa setiap umat manusia harus menjaga keutuhan alam dan keadilan sosial,\u201d pernyataan dari para pimpinan.<\/p>\n<p>IRI juga meluncurkan program serupa di Republik Demokratik Kongo Desember 2019 lalu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKita perlu membangun, menumbuhkan gerakan sosial masif, mengakhiri deforestasi dengan menjangkau masyarakat di level nilai dan etika, dan kami menyadari akan keterbatasan memecahkan tantangan ini tanpa bantuan dari para pemuka agama dan perwakilan komunitas adat,\u201d tutur Anita Nirody, koordinator residen penduduk PBB untuk Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Program Lingkungan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa menyediakan sekretariat bagi IRI, yang akan memiliki sembilan mitra.
