Pada acara ini, para ilmuwan, aktivis, pembuat film, pemodal, seniman, motivator dan wirausahawan sosial diundang untuk mengeksplorasi nilai hutan hujan dan apa yang bisa dilakukan masyarakat umum dalam menjaganya.<\/p>\n<p>Pada para generasi muda, ilmuwan David Gaveau dari <a href=\"\/\/www.cifor.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Pusat Penelitian Kehutanan Internasional <\/a>(CIFOR) menunjukkan bagaimana dampak rantai suplai sawit pada hutan alam Borneo.<\/p>\n<p>Borneo menyuplai minyak sawit pada dunia. Sebuah bisnis multi-miliar-dolar, mencakup bisnis kosmetik, makanan olahan dan biofuel yang menjadi bahan bakar mobil kita. Bersama para kolega di CIFOR, Gaveau mengembangkan peta interaktif yang memungkinkan pengguna mengeksplorasi dampak industri perkebunan pada hutan hujan Borneo. Peta interaktif <a href=\"\/\/www.cifor.org\/map\/atlas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Atlas Deforestasi dan Hutan Tanaman Industri di Borneo<\/a> disusun dari data satelit selama empat dekade yang dikombinasikan dengan pencitraan hasil dari pesawat tak berawak.<\/p>\n<p>Sejalan dengan janji perusahaan menghasilkan produk bebas-deforestasi, menurut Gaveau, konsumen perlu menjadi pengawas lingkungan. CIFOR Photo\/Enya Svea<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><strong>MEMASUKI HUTAN HUJAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Paviliun Hutan Hujan merupakan proyek terkini Joy Collective, sebuah komunitas yang bertujuan menyatukan berbagai sektor untuk menyampaikan pesan konservasi di klab dan festival, dengan harapan mampu menjangkau audiens muda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDalam masyarakat materialis saat ini, generasi muda sibuk dengan keinginan memiliki sesuatu untuk menimbulkan kecemburuan sosial, bukannya dampak konsumsi pada alam. Pertanyaan pentingnya adalah, \u2018Bagaimana kita menginspirasi generasi muda agar menjadi pemelihara lingkungan?\u201d kata Alex Joy, pendiri komunitas tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Joy terdorong untuk merancang Paviliun Hutan Hujan setelah beberapa lama melakukan edukasi lingkungan hidup di hutan hujan Asia Tenggara. Ia mengisi Paviliun dengan tanaman hidup asli yang diambil dari budi daya lokal. Instalasi seni-nya  diperkuat latar suara rekaman jeritan siamang dan nyanyian burung dari lokasi asli di Sumatera dan Thailand, serta dilengkapi foto-foto hutan hujan Borneo dan orang utan karya fotografer <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/truth-orangutans-arvid-nicolas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Arvid Nicolas<\/a>. Elemen tradisional Bali, merepresentasikan rumah Joy Collective dan pendukung Pro Motion Events, menjadi sentuhan akhir.<\/p>\n<p>Pada siang hari, audiens Paviliun Hutan Hujan mendengarkan dialog berbagai tema, mulai dari bagaimana mengatasi isu sampah plastik global, bagaimana mengurangi dampak konsumsi pada lingkungan, hingga bagaimana mencapai kebahagiaan.<\/p>\n<p>Pada malam hari, instalasi berubah menjadi pesta dansa yang meriah. CIFOR Photo\/Enya Svea<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><strong>GENERASI BARU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pesta malam dan dialog siang di Paviliun Hutan Hujan ini menarik sejumlah peminat festival, sekaligus menunjukkan potensi festival seni dan musik menghubungkan berbagai sudut pandang dan mengkomunikasikan pesan penting mengenai lingkungan.<\/p>\n<p>Satu hal yang disorot para pembicara adalah soal mengurangi sampah plastik dan dampaknya pada bumi. Pembuat film, <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/craig-leeson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Craig Leeson<\/a> mengangkat karyanya, <em>A Plastic Ocean<\/em>, dan <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/dr-andy-cornish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Andy Cornish<\/a> dari World Wildlife Fund memaparkan bagaimana hiu menghadapi kepunahan.<\/p>\n<p>Kewirausahaan hijau dipilih sebagai tema para pembicara lain. <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/reduce-reuse-recycle-replace-kevin-kumala\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Kevin Kumala<\/a> dari Indonesia menunjukkan kantong plastik alternatif dari bahan singkong yang dapat terurai 100% di alam. <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/taking-responsibility-john-hardy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">John Hardy<\/a>, pendiri Sekolah Hijau di Bali mempresentasikan gagasannya mengubah operasi garmen atau daur ulang menjadi lebih bertanggung jawab secara sosial dan lingkungan, sekaligus menjanjikan secara bisnis. Dari Singapura, <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/conscious-movement-stephanie-dickson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Stephanie Dickson<\/a> menjelaskan bagaimana merk-nya The Wedge Asia bertujuan memberdayakan konsumen dalam membuat keputusan sadar mengenai apa yang akan mereka beli.<\/p>\n<p>Analis finansial dan manajer risiko <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alaubsch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Alan Laubsch<\/a> mempresentasikan mata uang digital baru antar-sesama yang didukung oleh modal alam dalam bentuk hutan mangrove. Tiap koin, disebut Heyerdahl Mangrove Coin (HMC), merepresentasikan penanaman bibit mangrove baru di Myanmar<\/p>\n<p>Komitmen untuk perubahan positif dan kebahagiaan diri juga ditampilkan. Motivator <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderfruitfestival.com\/activity\/well-affects-environment-kartika-alexandra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Kartika Alexandra<\/a> memaparkan keyakinannya bahwa kebahagiaan kita dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sekitar.
