Peringatan ini menyediakan platform tahunan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya hutan dan pepohonan termasuk beragam cara hutan dapat tetap menyediakan kebutuhan untuk keberlangsungan hidup manusia.<\/p>\n<p>Di bawah ini adalah transkrip episode 1 dari 3 rangkaian spesial wawancara.<\/p>\n<p>Bagian 1 ini akan membahas kontribusi dari hutan dan pepohonan bagi <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/ga\/search\/view_doc.asp?symbol=A\/RES\/70\/1&amp;Lang=E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Agenda Pembangunan Berkelanjutan 2030<\/a>, termasuk interkoneksi antara hutan dan air. Saya senang hari ini dapat bergabung dengan Peter Holmgren, Direktur Jenderal Pusat Penelitian Kehutanan Internasional, CIFOR, dan Tony Simons, Direktur Jenderal World Agroforestry Center, dan dikenal sebagai ICRAF.<\/p>\n<p>Hari ini kita menandai acara khusus PBB yaitu Hari Hutan Internasional. Menurut Anda, bagaimana keadaan hutan dunia saat ini? Haruskah kita merasa khawatir?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter Holmgren, Direktur Jenderal, CIFOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saya pikir kita harus bersyukur dan senang karena hutan dan pepohonan memberikan begitu banyak kontribusi bagi perkembangan yang kita butuhkan. Lebih dari satu miliar orang mendapatkan bagian besar mata pencaharian mereka dari hutan. Banyak ekosistem layanan-air yang kita minum, mempertahankan pertanian, mengurangi kelaparan \u2013 dan hal ini banyak terjadi akibat adanya hutan dan pepohonan.<\/p>\n<div class='short-image short-image--left'>\n\t\t\t\t<a class='fancybox-image GTMshortImage' href='' target='_self'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='short-image__thumb'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<img src='' width='260'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='short-image__type'><h3><\/h3><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='short-image__title'><h4><\/h4><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><strong>Tony Simons, Direktur Jenderal, World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seringkali, kita menebang kayu di hutan dan pohon sebagai jaminan. Ada sangat sedikit hal -hal yang hidup lebih lama dari manusia, dan pohon adalah salah satunya. Pepohonan merupakan hadiah lintas generasi. Dan kita tidak benar-benar menghargai pepohonan sampai ketika pepohonan habis.<br \/>\nJadi kita memiliki kerugian bersih dari pepohonan saat ini dan kami harus membalikkan (persepsi) ini. Dan akan ini dapat terjadi melalui perlindungan yang lebih baik bagi hutan, pengelolaan hutan yang lebih baik, dan program penanaman yang mengakui nilai dan utilitas dari pohon-pohon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hasan:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CIFOR baru saja meluncurkan strategi sepuluh tahun baru dan saya memahami World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) juga melakukan hal yang sama. Dan kedua strategi ini sama-sama memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan agenda pembangunan global baru. Mengapa harus strategi ini harus terkoneksi?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holmgren:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rio Summit tahun 1992 didefinisikan banyak hal, terutama yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan-dengan tiga konvensi lingkungan yang besar. Kami juga memiliki apa yang sekarang Forum PBB tentang Hutan.<br \/>\nDan CIFOR didirikan dalam semangat yang sama dengan banyak fokus pada isu-isu lingkungan hutan. Tapi sejak itu, CIFOR telah bekerja secara lebih luas. Melihat lebih dalam ke dalam arena kebijakan, melihat pemerintahan dan isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan manusia dan hutan.<br \/>\nHal ini benar-benar merupakan semangat baru bagi peluncuran strategi baru kami di mana kami menyelaraskan tujuan kami untuk tidak satu, tidak enam, tapi dengan semua tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan yang bersama disepakati oleh negara-negara anggota PBB.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Simons:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sebagaimana yang dikatakan oleh Peter, kontribusi untuk tiga tujuan tingkat tinggi CGIAR yaitu pengentasan kemiskinan, mengurangi kelaparan dan mengurangi degradasi lingkungan merupakan alasan dasar sekaligus benang merah dan tujuan ICRAF dan CIFOR.<\/p>\n<p>Dan saat ini, 100 juta orang yang akan terangkat dari kemiskinan, 150 juta orang yang akan dikurangi dalam kelaparan, dan 190 juta hektar lahan rusak yang akan dikembalikan pada tahun 2030 sebagai upaya CGIAR &#8211; CIFOR dan ICRAF berkontribusi besar untuk semua pihak.<br \/>\nDan apa yang kita akan lihat sekarang adalah arah yang jauh lebih terfokus pada dampak itu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holmgren:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saat ini kami memiliki kesempatan untuk membawa kehutanan dalam kerangka pembangunan berkelanjutan penuh. Sebagai contoh, jika Anda hanya mengambil salah satu tujuan dalam rangka Pembangunan Berkelanjutan: air.
