Sumalindo Lestari Jaya 2, in Long Bagun, West Kutai district, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.\" src=\"\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Kalimantan-forest2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>BOGOR, Indonesia (10 Agustus, 2011)_Pemerintah Indonesia mengajak masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi memperbaiki peta tutupan hutan primer dan lahan gambut yang akan dipakai dalam pelaksanaan moratorium konsesi hutan baru selama dua tahun guna memastikan perlindungan yang sebaik-baiknya atas kekayaan alam ini.<\/p>\n<p>Perseorangan, kelompok maupun organisasi dapat mengunduh peta moratorium dalam format <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/qwmVt8\" target=\"_blank\">JPEG<\/a> atau <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/p8hIJN\" target=\"_blank\">SHP<\/a> dan menyerahkan masukan mereka kepada Unit Kerja Presiden Bidang Pengawasan dan Pengendalian Pembangunan (UKP4), demikian dikatakan oleh UKP4 dalam <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/rmJNgC\" target=\"_blank\">pemberitahuan kepada publik<\/a>. Informasi yang diterima selanjutnya akan diverifikasi dan, bila terbukti akurat, akan digunakan dalam  pembaharuan peta yang dilakukan setiap 6 bulan.<\/p>\n<p>Moratorium merupakan salah satu kebijakan paling penting yang dikeluarkan oleh Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono untuk mencapai komitmen Indonesia mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK) sebesar 26 persen dari tingkat <em>business-as-usual<\/em> pada tahun 2020 dengan usaha sendiri dan 41 persen dengan bantuan luar. Peta indikatifyang ditandatangani bersama moratorium tersebut banyak dikritik karena kurang akurat dan masih banyaknya klaim wilayah yang tumpang tindih.<\/p>\n<p>Masukan dan saran dapat diserahkan langsung, melalui surat atau <a href=\"mailto:serambi.inpres10@ukp.go.id\" target=\"_blank\">email<\/a> dengan menyertakan deskripsi jelas serta lokasi lahan, baik melalui koordinat GPS, foto atau peta-peta lain,  kata UKP4.<\/p>\n<p>UKP4 juga sedang mengembangkan sebuah sistem di mana masyarakat dapat mengawasi dan melaporkan kerusakan hutan dengan mengirimkan foto dan koordinat melalui telepon selular, kata Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, ketua badan ini, beberapa waktu lalu.  Informasi ini akan dimasukkan ke dalam sebuah <em>server<\/em> di kantor Presiden Yudhoyono.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDalam demokrasi, publik yang di depan, bukan hanya mencaci tapi juga merencanakan dan mengawasi,\u201d ujar Kuntoro. UKP4 akan meluncurkan sistem tersebut pada bulan Agustus, tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia sedang berjuang mempertahankan hutan tropis ketiga terbesar di dunia dari tekanan pembalakan, pertanian, pertambangan dan pertumbuhan penduduk. Sekitar 1,18 juta hektar hutan hilang setiap tahun, menurut perkiraan terakhir dari Kementerian Kehutanan. Lebih dari 60 persen emisi gas rumah kaca Indonesia berasal dari deforestasi, perubahan tata guna lahan dan kebakaran lahan gambut.<\/p>\n<p>Kebijakan moratorium merupakan bagian dari perjanjian dengan Norwegia untuk mendapatkan dana sebesar US$1 milyar jika Indonesia berhasil menunjukkan pengurangan emisi dari sektor kehutanan yang telah diverifikasi.
