Tetapi tahukah anda bahwa Jepara, sebuah kabupaten kecil di Jawa Tengah, adalah surga ukiran relief 3 dimensi, sebuah karya ukir yang unik karena diukir tanpa ada sambungan antar bagiannya dan setiap bagian menceritakan tentang sebuah bagian cerita yang unik.<\/p>\n<p>Ukiran relief Jepara menceritakan tentang berbagai aspek kegiatan sehari-hari atau budaya masyarakat di Jepara. Karya ukirnya terlihat unik dan berbeda karena diukir berlapis yang menceritakan secara detail tentang sebuah cerita.Seorang pengukir relief 3 dimensi dapat diumpamakan seperti seorang anak yang mencoba menumpahkan dan mendokumentasikan imaginasinya tentang sebuah cerita kehidupan pada sepotong kayu jati.<\/p>\n<p>Ukiran relief 3 dimensi ini menggunakan bahan baku utama kayu jati karena kayu jatilah yang memiliki karakteristik yang tepat untuk pembuatan karya seni ini. Kayu jati umumnya dipanen dari perkebunan kayu jati dan bukan berasal dari hutan-hutan alam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProses pembuatan ukiran relief 3 dimensi sangatlah rumit dan bila hanya dikerjakan oleh seorang pengukir maka akan membutuhkan waktu sekitar satu tahun untuk menyelesaikan ukiran relief berukuran 2,5 m2\u201d, kata Sutrisno, seorang seniman pengukir relief yang juga anggota utama dari Asosiasi Pengrajin Kecil Jepara.<\/p>\n<p>Senenan adalah pusat kerajinan ukir relief 3 dimensi di Jepara dengan 180 pengusaha skala kecil. Namun masa depan dari karya seni berkualitas tinggi ini sudah mulai terancam. \u201cKerumitan pembuatannya dan penggunaan kayu jati sebagai bahan bakunya membuat produk ini menjadi padat modal namun membutuhkan waktu lama untuk mendapatkan keuntungan\u201d, kata Sutrisno. \u201cSeni ukir relief di Jepara semakin jarang sekarang karena banyak pengrajin mulai beralih kepada produksi mebel non-relief\u201d, tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain ukiran relief 3 dimensi, Jepara juga memiliki sentra-sentra ukiran lainnya seperti sentra ukir patung di Mulyoharjo. Proyek Rantai Nilai Mebel (Furniture Value Chain (FVC)) yang dilakukan oleh CIFOR mendukung para pengrajin mebel dan ukiran skala kecil melalui riset kaji tindak (action research), mendukung penanaman jati unggul cepat panen, peningkatan kapasitas pengrajin dan pihak-pihak terkait, pembentukan asosiasi dan membangun jejaring.<\/p>\n<p>Proyek ini saat ini sedang berusaha mempromosikan sentra-sentra mebel dan ukiran ini sebagai tujuan pariwisata di Jepara. \u201cPeta Wisata dan Belanja Mebel Jepara\u201d yang baru saja diluncurkan adalah salah satu alat untuk menarik para wisatawan untuk mengunjungi sentra-sentra tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMelalui pariwisata berbasis mebel, kami berharap dapat mempromosikan upaya-upaya untuk melestarikan warisan budaya bernilai tinggi ini\u201d, kata Herry Purnomo, peneliti CIFOR yang juga Koordinator proyek FVC.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BOGOR, Indonesia (14 Juli, 2011)_Anda mungkin dapat dengan mudah menemukan ukiran 2 dimensi atau bahkan sudah memiliki beberapa produknya sebagai komponen dekorasi rumah.
