{"id":24778,"date":"2014-10-16T12:52:38","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T05:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/?p=24778"},"modified":"2015-10-13T15:56:54","modified_gmt":"2015-10-13T08:56:54","slug":"berbagai-pernyataan-dari-pertemuan-puncak-iklim-pertanian-hutan-bentang-alam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/id\/24778\/berbagai-pernyataan-dari-pertemuan-puncak-iklim-pertanian-hutan-bentang-alam","title":{"rendered":"Berbagai pernyataan dari Pertemuan Puncak Iklim: Pertanian + Hutan = Bentang Alam?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK&#8211; September adalah bulan penting bagi masa depan manusia di planet bumi. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/climatechange\/summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Pertemuan Puncak Iklim Perserikatan Bangsa-bangsa<\/a> mengumpulkan  sejumlah pemimpin dunia besar yang akan memperbaharui komitmen politik dan finansial  guna memenuhi tantangan perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Apakah yang harus kita lakukan, menurut pertemuan puncak tersebut?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Momen tersebut juga merupakan kesempatan penting untuk mendalami akan berbagai cara ke depan bagi penelitian, pengarahan dan pengembangan kapasitas &#8212; tiga dimensi dari pekerjaan CIFOR&#8211; untuk membantu merubah komitmen tsb menjadi tindakan di lapangan.<\/p>\n<p>Secara ringkas &#8211; apa yang harus dilakukan, menurut pertemuan puncak tersebut?<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu bagian dari acara pertemuan puncak tersebut dikhususkan untuk delapan &#8220;bidang tindakan&#8221;: Pertanian, Perkotaan, Energi, Pendanaan, Hutan, Industri, Ketahanan dan Transportasi. Untuk masing-masing bidang, sejumlah besar negara, organisasi masyarakat sipil dan perusahaan swasta akan menandatangani pernyataan pertemuan puncak yang menunjukkan bagaimana kita harus bergerak maju.<\/p>\n<p>Di sini saya menawarkan beberapa pemikiran mengenai pernyataan yang beredar mengenai isu pertanian dan hutan, dan bagaimana kedua hal ini saling terkait, dalam pemahaman minat saat ini untuk mencari solusi yang <a href=\"http:\/\/www.landscapes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">baik dan terintegrasi di seluruh b<\/a>entang alam. Sebagai catatan,  CIFOR merupakan organisasi penelitian independen, tidak terlibat langsung dalam persiapan berbagai pernyataan ini.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CIFOR di Pekan Iklim NYC:<\/strong>\u00a0Artikel ini merupakan bagian dari sebuah laporan khusus <em>Kabar\u00a0Hutan<\/em> tentang hutan dan perubahan iklim.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/climate-week\">Klik di sini untuk membaca lebih lanjut.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deklarasi New York tentang Hutan terfokus pada deforestasi dan &#8220;kehilangan hutan alamiah.&#8221; Tujuh dari 10 butir pernyataan membahas isu ini secara langsung, atau secara tidak langsung dengan mengacu pada pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca dari hutan. Dua butir menyoroti kebutuhan restorasi hutan dan satu mendesak untuk tata kelola hutan yang lebih baik.  Dari kesepuluh butir tersebut, dua terkait dengan sasaran pembangunan berkelanjutan dan agenda pembangunan pasca-2015.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam kesimpulannya, dokumen tersebut menyatakan,  berbagai komitmen memiliki potensi sebagai pengurang emisi sampai &#8220;4,5 [miliar sampai] 8,8 miliar ton per tahun pada 2030.&#8221; Adaptasi atau ketahanan terhadap perubahan iklim tidak disebut sebagai hasil potensial. Agenda Tindakan yang menyertainya menyajikan daftar panjang dari inisiatif yang sedang berlangsung atau prospektif, dan diharapkan =sejumlah komitmen langsung  bisa dibuat di dalam pertemuan puncak.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai kontrasnya, Pernyataan Gabungan untuk Pertanian, Ketahanan Pangan dan Gizi dimulai dari kebutuhan untuk membahas ketidaksetaraan dan memastikan kecukupan gizi untuk populasi yang terus bertumbuh, tantangan yang menjadi semakin jauh lebih besar di hadapan perubahan iklim dan menambahkan kerentanan pada rakyat miskin.<\/p>\n<p>Pertanian cerdas-iklim dipromosikan sebagai pendekatan inti menghadapi tantangan ini, dengan ketiga pilarnya yaitu kesetaraan pertambahan pendapatan\/produktivitas pertanian, ketahanan yang lebih baik dari sistem pangan dan mata pencaharian, dan pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca dari pertanian. Sejumlah inisiatif baru atau yang diperkuat sudah didaftarkan, termasuk inisiatif Aliansi Global untuk Pertanian Cerdas-Iklim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BERSAMA, SEBUAH AGENDA YANG MEMAKSA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dengan menempatkan berbagai pernyataan hutan dan pertanian secara bersebelahan, jelaslah bahwa keduanya memiliki asal yang terpisah, dan juga bahwa tidak ada referensi silang yang eksplisit.  Pernyataan hutan menghubungkan deforestasi dengan pertanian, dan sebaliknya pernyataan pertanian mencatat berbagai dampak pertanian terhadap ekosistem dalam kaitannya dengan emisi. Terlebih jauh, pernyataan hutan secara umum mencatat pentingnya hutan untuk &#8220;pangan, air, bahan bakar, obat-obatan, budaya tradisional dan penghidupan.&#8221; Pernyataan pertanian mengakui &#8220;peranan penting para petani, penangkap ikan, perhutanan dan peternak.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dirangkum keduanya, kedua pernyataan tersebut memberikan agenda memaksa untuk bentang alam dunia. Satu tambah satu mungkin lebih dari dua bila berbagai peluang yang dikemukakan dalam kedua dokumen digabungkan dan berbagai solusinya ditinjau bersama. Dukungan politik yang luas dan kuat yang ditawarkan oleh pertemuan puncak ini kepada masing-masing pernyataan, berkisar dari berbagai pemerintahan, sampai masyarakat sipil, sampai sektor perusahaan swasta tentunya merupakan hal penting untuk dibangun.<\/p>\n<p>Memandang ke depan, satu pertanyaan yang terkait ialah bagaimana keduanya dapat digabungkan. Memberi arah sinergi dan timbal balik antara pertanian dan kehutanan merupakan hal penting di semua skala geografis. Jadi tampaknya ada kasus kuat untuk pendekatan bentang alam di semua tingkatan-dari global sampai lokal. Esensi dari pendekatan bentang alam ini yaitu memberikan suatu kerangka kerja dan metodologi agar banyak sasaran dalam suatu bentang alam dapat dipertimbangkan bersama oleh para pemangku kepentingan terkait.<\/p>\n<p>Pada tahun-tahun terakhir, sudah ada penekanan meningkat terhadap bentang alam untuk menemukan solusi gabungan untuk mengembangkan berbagai tantangan di seluruh sektor berbasis lahan. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.landscapes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Forum Bentang Alam Global di Peru, 6-7 Desember<\/a>, memberikan suatu kesempatan yang sangat baik untuk mendemonstrasikan bagaimana kita dapat memanfaatkan sebaik-baiknya berbagai pernyataan pertanian dan hutan dari Pertemuan Puncak Iklim tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK&#8211; September adalah bulan penting bagi masa depan manusia di planet bumi. Under his leadership, CIFOR updated its strategy in 2016, emphasizing the role of forestry in achieving each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Holmgren has a PhD in Forestry and 26 years of experience in international forestry and agriculture. Prior to CIFOR, Dr. Holmgren worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), where he led FAO\u2019s work on climate change and its contributions to the UNFCCC process. While at FAO he also coordinated the Global Forest Resources Assessment, played a leading role in establishing the UN-REDD program and led the development of the Climate Smart Agriculture concept. Dr. Holmgren is credited for leading the dialogue to enhance and broaden the role of forestry in the Global Development Agenda to address the major challenges of our time: poverty, food security, climate change and green economy.
