Sebagai sebuah inisiatif <\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wri.org\/events\/gfwlaunch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">World Resources Insitute<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #544c4c;\"> berbasis di Washington DC, GFW menjawab masalah besar tidak-konsisten dan tidak dan tidak-terpercayanya data \u2013 sumber umum konflik antara pemangku kepentingan manajemen lahan \u2013 serta membangun informasi akurat bagi pemerintah, perusahaan, LSM dan masyarakat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wahana ini dikembangkan dengan bantuan lebih dari 40 mitra dan kolaborator dari sektor swasta, masyarakat sipil dan pemerintah, kata manajer senior Crystal Davis pada <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsasia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Pertemuan Puncak Tingkat Tinggi Hutan Asia<\/a> di Jakarta, baru-baru ini.<\/p>\n<p>Tetapi hanya menyediakan data \u201cbukanlah tujuan akhir kami,\u201d katanya. \u201cKami melihat data terbuka sebagai cara sangat penting untuk memberdayakan dan membangun kepercayaan di antara beragam pemangku kepentingan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Banyak negara Asia menderita akibat buruknya manajemen data, lemahnya akses data dan bertentangannya kumpulan data, demikian <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/docrep\/003\/x6638e\/X6638E10.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">menurut Badan PBB Organisasi Pangan dan dan Pertanian (FAO);<\/a> hal ini dapat membuat frustasi upaya pembangunan berkelanjutan.
