Video semua presentasi dan pidato Konferensi akan diunggah <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLZ1FEAFDHOWflPV78vlvSYKioNrYn1vUg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">di sini<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">JAKARTA, Indonesia \u2014 Sektor pertanian dan kehutanan memainkan peran krusial dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim, Selasa lalu pakar terbaik internasional menyatakan, mengajak adanya aksi menjelang perundingan putaran berikut mengenai kesepakatan baru pengganti Protokol Kyoto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u201cLangkah yang harus kita jalani sangat jelas jika dunia ingin membatasi kenaikan suhu pada dua derajat Celsius,\u201d kata Rajendra Pachauri, Ketua Panel Antar-pemerintahan untuk Perubahan Iklim (IPCC), ketika berpidato di hari terakhir <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"http:\/\/forestsasia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Pertemuan Puncak Forests Asia<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"> di Jakarta. \u201cDan bahwa, hal ini, perlu dipandang sebagai peluang daripada sesuatu yang menambah beban pada beragam masyarakat dunia.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Laporan kelima dan terbaru IPCC menekankan pentingnya transformasi sektor energi untuk menjaga suhu Bumi tidak naik lebih dari dua derajat Celsius di akhir abad ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">&#8220;Pertanian, kehutanan dan sektor lahan secara bersama menyumbang sekitar 24 persen emisi gas rumah kaca total. Dan kami menemukan bahwa dua sektor ini memiliki peluang besar untuk mitigasi,\u201d kata Pachauri.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u201cSoal emisi gas rumah kaca, jika dalam hal apapun, berkembang lebih cepat dari masa lalu, muncul alasan yang perlu diperhatikan, yaitu alasan untuk beraksi,\u201d kata Pachauri.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Komentarnya tersebut muncul bersama dengan tenggat waktu 2015 untuk kesepakatan perubahan iklim baru pengganti pendekatan Protokol Kyoto. Negara-negara mengalami kebuntuan sejak protokol berakhir 2012. Pada 2011, mereka sepakat memfinalisasi pakta baru di Paris tahun berikutnya, untuk diterapkan 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">IPCC memperkirakan bahwa \u201cbeban biaya jalan mitigasi ini sangat rendah,\u201d kata Pachauri, walaupun laporan tersebut memperkirakan kebutuhan 147 miliar dolar per tahun hingga 2030 untuk meningkatkan sumber energi lebih bersih tiga kali lipat bagi kelistrikan pada 2030.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u201cKami memperkirakan untuk menurunkan emisi dengan sebesar ini, kehilangan konsumsi per tahun secara global tidak akan lebih dari 0,06 persen GDP global,\u201d kata Pachauri, merujuk perkiraan IPCC di akhir abad ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Pakar keuangan pada konferensi dua hari ini, mengungkapkan kemauan sektor swasta untuk pembiayaan ekonomi lebih hijau, seraya menyatakan mereka menunggu tanda kebijakan jelas dan model investasi lebih canggih sebelum melempar pendanaan ke dalam arena bisnis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sebagian ahli ekonomi, menyatakan biaya akan lebih tinggi dari dugaan IPCC, seraya mencontohkan negara-negara Eropa telah menghabiskan lebih dari 0,06 persen GDP untuk energi lebih bersih.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Bahkan jika biaya lebih tinggi, terdapat serangkaian keuntungan-sampingan yang bernilai, kata Pachauri. Memotong emisi gas rumah kaca akan berarti ketahanan energi lebih baik, tingkat polusi lebih rendah, perlindungan ekosistem dan berpotensi meningkatkan peluang tenaga kerja. Kesehatan manusia dan ketahanan pangan juga akan menjadi keuntungan, katanya, menambahkan bahwa penilaian terbaru menemukan bahwa dampak perubahan iklim terhadap pertanian \u201cjauh lebih serius\u201d daripada yang dipikirkan sebelumnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Bagian pertama dari laporan kelima IPCC dikeluarkan tahun lalu, menegaskan bahwa aktivitas manusia menjadi penyebab utama perubahan iklim sejak pertengahan abad ke-20.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Diperkirakan suhu naik antara 0,3 hingga 4,8 derajat Celcius di akhir abad 21 dalam skenario berbeda-beda.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Untuk menjamin planet bumi tidak mengalami kenaikan temperatur lebih dari dua derajat Celsius, emisi karbon total pasca-industri dari semua sumber harus dibatasi pada 1.000 miliar ton, demikian hasil temuan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Sekitar separuh anggaran telah dihabiskan, kata Pachauri, menambahkan bahwa dunia harus  mencapai emisi negatif di akhir abad agar tetap berada dalam batas rentang dua derajat Celsius.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Catatan Editor: Lihat forestasia.org untuk pencarian berita terkini Pertemuan Puncak Forests Asia.
