Masyarakat Jepang lebih dari sekadar warga yang patuh pada kaisar; mereka juga menjaga institusi kolektif untuk <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/16672\/qa-who-owns-the-rights-to-the-worlds-common-resources\/\">mengelola sumber daya bersama.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jadi menyelenggarakan konferensi ke-14 International Association for the Study of the Commons (IASC) di kota Fujiyoshida di Gunung Fuji bukanlah pilihan aneh seperti yang dibayangkan sebagian orang. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/16672\/qa-who-owns-the-rights-to-the-worlds-common-resources\/\">Kajian bersama<\/a> yang dirintis oleh pemenang nobel sains-politik Elinor Ostrom, dirayakan untuk mempertanyakan keniscayaan \u201c<a href=\"\/\/www.cifor.org\/publications\/pdf_files\/OccPapers\/OP-20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tragedi Milik Bersama<\/a>\u201d, dan peran masyarakat lokal dalam memunculkan solusi lebih efektif dan lestari bagi aksi kolektif dibanding negara dan sektor swasta.<\/p>\n<p>Konferensi ini merupakan yang pertama bagi masyarakat lokal dalam merencanakan dan menjadi tuan rumah IASC di tanah mereka. Bagi peneliti seperti kita yang terutama prihatin dengan masyarakat biasa di negara miskin, sesi pleno bertingkat yang fokus pada masyarakat biasa Jepang serta kunjungan lapangan ke memungkinkan kita menemukan tumpang tindih dan perbedaan masyarakat biasa antara negara \u201cmaju\u201d dan \u201cberkembang\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sewaktu kami di Jepang, kami belajar, rangsangan untuk <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qZGtzvOHzRA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">mengelola milik bersama masih mengakar dalam tatanan sosial dan budaya masyarakat jelata<\/a>. Milik bersama tidak hanya sumber daya yang dipanen dan dieksploitasi orang tetapi juga dapat menjadi simbol sejarah dan kenangan bersama, ikatan kekerabatan, rasa kebersamaan dan afiliasi religius. Tetapi tidak seperti masyarakat hutan di Nepal\u2014tempat <a href=\"\/\/www.cifor.org\/online-library\/browse\/view-publication\/publication\/2562.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">kajian CIFOR<\/a> yang menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat miskin memiliki akses terbatas pada lahan dan pohon privat khususnya masyarakat bergantung hutan\u2014masyarakat Jepang tidak terjerat hal yang sama dengan urgensi keberlangsungan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Masyarakat di Jepang terlibat proaktif dengan debat global mengenai perubahan iklim dan melihat peran mereka dalam konservasi ruang bersama sebagai kontribusi untuk menjawab masalah di level global.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Perbandingan ini membawa kita pada pertanyaan mengenai asumsi mengakar mengenai mengapa orang mengelola sumber daya secara bersama. Ini bukan hanya soal sumber daya yang dimiliki bersama tetapi juga untuk menghargai pentingnya sumber daya bersama bagi kebaikan global.<\/p>\n<p>Masyarakat di Jepang terlibat secara proaktif dengan debat global mengenai perubahan iklim dan melihat peran mereka dalam konservasi milik bersama sebagai bentuk kontribusi dalam menjawab masalah tingkat global. Dengan alasan ini, keterputusan antara proses lokal dan global serta pemahaman yang <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0305750X12002896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">sering dilaporkan dalam literatur masyarakat di negara berkembang<\/a> tidak memiliki memiliki kesamaan arah.<\/p>\n<p>Jepang juga menunjukkan pada kita bahwa hubungan antara perkembangan ekonomi dan aksi kolektif di masyarakat tidak selalu negatif\u2014standar hidup yang lebih tinggi tidak lantas mengarah pada privatisasi lebih besar, individualisasi, ketertinggalan dan resultan hilangnya milik bersama. Di provinsi Yamanashi, misalnya, masyarakat menggunakan pendapatan dari penyewaan lahan umum dari militer untuk berinvestasi dalam meningkatkan konservasi lahan dan mengadvokasi pengakuan terhadap lahan bersama tersebut sebagai Situs Warisan Dunia.<\/p>\n<p>Searah dengan perkembangan dan pembangunannya, Asia menghadapi polusi, lingkungan dan tantangan energi.
