Meskipun beberapa asesmen terbaru menggunakan peringatan kebakaran harian dari NASA untuk menentukan letak kebakaran, kami menambahkan citra dengan resolusi lebih tinggi menggunakan satelit Landsat 8 yang baru diluncurkan guna memetakan titik api. Citra Landsat direkam pada 25 Juni 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Walau analisis kami masih berupa pendahuluan, hal ini memunculkan beberapa pertanyaan penting yang menarik dan wawasan mengenai lokasi, konteks dan penyebab kebakaran.<\/p>\n<p>Kami ingin berbagi observasi dan hipotesis terkait dibawah ini, serta berharap akan tanggapan Anda.<\/p>\n<p><b>KUNCI OBSERVASI<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1.Terdapat puncak yang berbeda dalam <a href=\"http:\/\/firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov\/firemap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">peringatan kebakaran harian NASA<\/a> dalam rentang waktu sangat singkat antara 17 dan 25 Juni (Gambar 1).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17506\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17506\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/figure1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-17506\" src=\"\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/figure1-500x281.jpg\" alt=\"Figure 1. Sebagian besar kebakaran Juni 2013 dalam wilayah kajian terjadi di luar hutan alam (Gambar 4). Rentang waktu sangat singkat ketika kebakaran memuncak, proporsi tertinggi terjadi pada lahan gambut, merupakan pola khas pengelolaan perkebunan di wilayah kebakaran, serta kurangnya peta konsesi terbaru mendukung hipotesis ini.<\/p>\n<p>2. Kondisi cuaca (termasuk pola angin) memperburuk masalah asap pada Juni 2013 dibanding dengan kejadian kebakaran sebelumnya.<\/p>\n<p><b>UCAPAN TERIMA KASIH<\/b><br \/>\nSangat cepatnya ketersediaan data Landsat 8 memungkinkan kami melakukan asesmen tepat waktu mengenai titik api dan menghubungkan data dengan penggunaan lahan. Walaupun, lebih banyak data lapangan dibutuhkan untuk menegaskan kejadian dan proses tepat penyebab kebakaran.<\/p>\n<div style=\"border: 1px solid black; float: left; width: 90%; margin: 12px; padding: 12px;\">Peringatan kebakaran harian dan pencitraan LANDSAT digabungkan ke dalam peta wilayah terbakar Sumatera Juni 2013. Peringatan kebakaran harian diperoleh dari <a href=\"http:\/\/firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov\/firemap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Data Api Aktif NASA<\/a> periode 1-30 Juni 2013. Citra yang diambil LANDSAT 8 pada 25 Juni 2013 didapat dari <a href=\"http:\/\/earthexplorer.usgs.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">US Geological Survey<\/a>. Citra LANDSAT diproses untuk menghasilkan wilayah baru terbakar menggunakan <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rulequest.com\/see5-info.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">supervised classifier<\/a>. Area terbakar di tumpang susunkan pada peringatan kebakaran harian untuk menaksir keterkaitan.Peta lahan gambut datang dari Reppprot. Peta tutupan hutan alam 2007 diambil dari WWF-Indonesia.
