Melalui pendekatan lanskap dan kemitraan multipihak, SFITAL bekerja bersama pemerintah daerah, penyuluh, petani, lembaga pendidikan, dan sektor swasta. Kegiatan utama meliputi pelatihan agroforestri, peningkatan kapasitas petani dan penyuluh, pengembangan materi pembelajaran, serta dialog kebijakan untuk mendukung pembangunan pertanian berkelanjutan.
