Tujuannya adalah untuk memastikan bahwa hutan berada pada agenda utama pada strategi iklim global dan nasional \u2013 dan untuk berbagi pengetahuan paling mutakhir tentang hutan dan perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIni merupakan sebuah perjalanan sejak kami meluncurkan Hari Hutan yang pertama pada COP 13 Bali. Pada awalnya kemi merencanakan acara berorientasi ilmiah yang relatif kecil \u2013 namun kemudian lebih dari 800 orang datang, \u201cujar mantan Direktur Jenderal CIFOR Frances Seymour yang menjadi sosok penting dalam keberhasilan lima Hari Hutan yang pertama.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih dari 5.000 orang dari lebih dari 100 negara telah menghadiri keseluruhan enam Hari Hutan. Termasuk di dalamnya adalah sekitar 1000 negosiator UNFCCC, lebih dari 400 jurnalis dan lebih dari 300 pembicara \u2013 termasuk presiden, gubernur, para menteri negara, Pemenang Nobel ilmuwan, para ahli global dan pemimpin masyarakat adat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHari Hutan dirancang untuk menempatkan hutan pada agenda perubahan iklim \u2013 dan menurut saya kita bisa katakan bahwa misi tersebut telah terpenuhi.
