{"id":12833,"date":"2012-12-03T05:39:02","date_gmt":"2012-12-03T05:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/?p=12833"},"modified":"2015-10-28T16:43:53","modified_gmt":"2015-10-28T09:43:53","slug":"infografis-memetakan-sejarah-pertanian-dan-perubahan-iklim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/id\/12833\/infografis-memetakan-sejarah-pertanian-dan-perubahan-iklim","title":{"rendered":"Infografis: Memetakan sejarah pertanian dan perubahan iklim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DOHA, Qatar (28 November 2012)_Sebuah infografis baru yang memetakan kemajuan sektor pertanian dalam kaitannya dengan perubahan iklim sepanjang sejarah negosiasi UNFCCC diluncurkan di sela-sela pertemuan tingkat tinggi perubahan iklim di Doha, tahun ini.<\/p>\n<p>Diterbitkan menjelang acara  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agricultureday.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Agriculture, Landscapes and Livelihoods Day 5<\/a> pada tanggal 3 Desember, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.farmingfirst.org\/climate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>The Story of Agriculture and Climate Change: The Road We\u2019ve Travelled <\/em><\/a>menandai kejadian penting dalam kalender internasional, antara lain adopsi Protokol Kyoto 1997, inisiasi REDD pada 2005, dan acara Agriculture and Rural Development Day pertama di tahun 2009.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPertanian telah menjadi sektor yang sangat terpukul oleh  perubahan iklim dan masa depannya lebih buruk lagi. Namun, masih ada banyak pilihan untuk adaptasi, dan beberapa di antaranya membawa keuntungan bersama dalam mitigasi,\u201d kata Bruce Campbell, Direktur program riset Perubahan Iklim, Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan CGIAR.<\/p>\n<p>Pertanian menyokong lebih dari satu juta penduduk miskin dunia, selain juga bertanggungjawab terhadap <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/12350\/scientists-pinpoint-activities-driving-deforestation-and-urge-countries-to-take-action-at-doha\/#.ULWjO6yTy8A\">80 persen deforestasi total<\/a> dan diperkirakan menyumbang 31 persen dari total emisi gas rumah kaca. Peningkatan hasil produksi dan teknik pertanian adalah salah satu jalan agar sektor ini bisa membantu mengurangi kontribusinya terhadap perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n<p>Oleh karena itu, perunding di COP18 di Doha harus \u201cmendukung peran unik pertanian dalam merespon perubahan iklim global,\u201d kata Tracy Gerstle, Wakil Direktur \u201cFarming First\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Infografis tersebut menggambarkan ajakan-untuk-bertindak dari 19 organisasi pertanian dunia terkemuka, ajakan untuk menciptakan sebuah Program Kerja untuk Pertanian di bawah Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technology Advice (SBSTA) \u2013 sebuah kelompok penasihat ilmiah untuk UNFCCC.<\/p>\n<p>Diharapkan bahwa program kerja SBSTA yang baru dapat mendokumentasi dan membagi pengetahuan mengenai peningkatan praktik pertanian, untuk memperkaya informasi dalam pengambilan keputusan seputar pertanian dan perubahan iklim kepada Konferensi Multi Pihak UNFCC yang tengah mempersiapkan strategi nasional menghadapi perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSekarang saatnya beraksi. Petani seluruh dunia telah merasakan dampak perubahan iklim dan mereka membutuhkan dukungan jika mereka harus beradaptasi.
