C\u2019est apr\u00e8s ce relev\u00e9 que les populations d\u2019Akaa ont appris que l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une grande partie de leurs terres ancestrales leur serait d\u00e9sormais refus\u00e9, du fait qu\u2019elle se trouvait de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019une fronti\u00e8re trac\u00e9e il y a plus d&rsquo;un si\u00e8cle sur la carte des puissances coloniales. Les communaut\u00e9s install\u00e9es du c\u00f4t\u00e9 ghan\u00e9en, comme celle d\u2019Akaa, ont soudainement observ\u00e9 un renforcement du contr\u00f4le de la fronti\u00e8re internationale et se sont retrouv\u00e9es isol\u00e9es de leurs terres familiales, sans avoir jamais eu d\u2019explication sur l&rsquo;arpentage effectu\u00e9. La perte de ces terres reste \u00e0 ce jour une source de probl\u00e8mes pour ces populations.
