Mais une <\/span><\/span><span lang=\"zxx\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\"><a href=\"\/\/www.cifor.org\/library\/4487\/social-impacts-of-the-forest-stewardship-council-certification-an-assessment-in-the-congo-basin\/?pub=4487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">\u00e9tude<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">r\u00e9cente du <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">Centre de Recherche Foresti\u00e8re Internationale (CIFOR) montre que les concessions de bois qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 certifi\u00e9es par le <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">Forest Stewardship Council<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> (FSC) dans le Bassin du Congo, un des nombreux syst\u00e8mes de certification utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 travers le monde, peut en effet surpasser les concessions non-certifi\u00e9es dans une s\u00e9rie de variables utilis\u00e9es pour mesurer les retomb\u00e9es sociales.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Les conflits ne disparaissent pas du jour au lendemain, mais des discussions r\u00e9guli\u00e8res permettent de cr\u00e9er un environnement plus d\u00e9tendu o\u00f9 des n\u00e9gociations peuvent avoir lieu.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p lang=\"fr-FR\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\">L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e en 2013 au Cameroun, au Gabon et en R\u00e9publique du Congo sur neuf <span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\">unit\u00e9s d&rsquo;am\u00e9nagement forestier (UAM) certifi\u00e9es et neuf non-certifi\u00e9es, qui en 2013 couvraient la plus grande zone de for\u00eat naturelle tropicale certifi\u00e9e, avec environ 5,3 millions d&rsquo;hectares. Pourtant, cela ne repr\u00e9sente que 10% de la surface totale attribu\u00e9e aux UAM dans le Bassin du Congo. D&rsquo;o\u00f9 l&rsquo;importance \u00e9galement de cette \u00e9tude. Avant que la certification ne s&rsquo;\u00e9tende davantage, il est important de savoir si elle apporte ou non des progr\u00e8s sociaux aux populations vivant dans et autour des UAM certifi\u00e9es, compar\u00e9es aux non-certifi\u00e9es.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr-FR\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\">Notre \u00e9quipe de recherche a trouv\u00e9 un lien solide entre la pr\u00e9sence de certification et l&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration des conditions de travail et de vie dans et autour des UAM certifi\u00e9es. Des retomb\u00e9es sociales positives apparaissent davantage dans les UAM certifi\u00e9es que dans les non-certifi\u00e9es, car on a demand\u00e9 aux entreprises d&rsquo;adh\u00e9rer \u00e0 un agenda pour atteindre les normes d\u00e9finies par une s\u00e9rie de crit\u00e8res clairs, \u00e9valu\u00e9s par un tiers ind\u00e9pendant. Cela constitue une diff\u00e9rence cl\u00e9 avec ce qui se d\u00e9roule normalement dans la plupart des UAM non-certifi\u00e9es op\u00e9rant \u00abseulement\u00bb dans le cadre l\u00e9gal: les agents forestiers mandat\u00e9s pour surveiller de telles UAM peuvent \u00eatre efficaces pour v\u00e9rifier les variables li\u00e9es au bois (les volumes autoris\u00e9s, par exemple), mais ils ont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement peu de moyens et aucune incitation pour v\u00e9rifier les normes sociales.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr-FR\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\">Nous avons aussi constat\u00e9 qu&rsquo;il y a des progr\u00e8s parce que les entreprises des UAM certifi\u00e9es ont mis en place des plateformes de \u00abdialogue\u00bb pour maintenir un moyen de communication permanent avec la population locale, et parce que les entreprises sont davantage conscientes de l&rsquo;importance de maintenir une bonne r\u00e9putation.
