Son but \u00e9tait d&rsquo;assurer que les for\u00eats aient une position importante sur les agendas des strat\u00e9gies climatiques mondiales et nationales \u2013 ainsi que de partager les connaissances les plus \u00e0 jour sur les for\u00eats et le changement climatique.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Ce fut tout un parcours depuis que nous avons lanc\u00e9 le premier Forest Day \u00e0 la COP 13 \u00e0 Bali. Nous avions initialement pr\u00e9vu un \u00e9v\u00e9nement relativement petit ax\u00e9 sur les sciences &#8211; et puis plus de 800 personnes sont venues \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Frances Seymour, ancien directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du CIFOR, qui a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le dans le succ\u00e8s des cinq premiers Forest Days.<\/p>\n<p>Plus de 5.000 personnes venant de plus de 100 pays ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Forest_Day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">tous les 6 Forest Days<\/a>. Cela inclut environ 1.000 n\u00e9gociateurs de la CCNUCC, plus de 400 journalistes et plus de 300 conf\u00e9renciers &#8211; dont un pr\u00e9sident, des gouverneurs, des ministres, des laur\u00e9ats du prix Nobel, des scientifiques, des experts internationaux et des dirigeants autochtones.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Forest Day a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour aider \u00e0 mettre les for\u00eats sur l&rsquo;agenda du changement climatique &#8211; et je pense que nous pouvons dire que cette mission a \u00e9t\u00e9 accomplie.
