Amelia Swan is a science communicator from Wollongong, Australia. She studied at the Australian National University and the University of Sydney, starting her career in conservation genetics. Amelia has worked as a science communicator for the Australian government, CSIRO, and travelled rural Australia delivering science, maths and innovation workshops to school students. Before joining the CIFOR communication team, Amelia was living in remote Borneo, running away from spitting cobras and working as a science communicator at an orangutan rehabilitation centre.
