Pero dijo que es comprensible que esto no haya ocurrido, ya que las comunidades no reciben ninguna ayuda o compensaci\u00f3n cuando los elefantes permanecen en forma regular fuera del parque y pisotean sus cultivos.<\/p>\n<p>Un <a href=\"\/\/www.cifor.org\/events\/linking-great-ape-conservation-and-poverty-alleviation-live-video-stream.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">taller reciente<\/a> organizado por expertos en conservaci\u00f3n del Centro para la Investigaci\u00f3n Forestal Internacional destac\u00f3 la necesidad de contar con mecanismos <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestsnews.org\/7209\/formalized-insurance-compensation-may-help-mitigate-human-wildlife-conflicts-experts-say\/\">formalizados de seguros y compensaci\u00f3n <\/a>para mitigar las incidencias e impactos de los conflictos entre los humanos y la fauna silvestre. De acuerdo con <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldwildlife.org\/species\/humanwildlifeconflict.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">World Wildlife Fund<\/a>, el conflicto seres humanos-fauna silvestre es una de las principales amenazas para la supervivencia de muchas especies, siendo los elefantes los m\u00e1s grandes culpables de incursiones en los cultivos.<\/p>\n<p>En sus comentarios de cierre de la reuni\u00f3n, el Embajador de Estados Unidos en Camer\u00fan, Robert Jackson cit\u00f3 a la caza furtiva en el primer lugar de una lista de desaf\u00edos que enfrentala Asociaci\u00f3n Forestaldela Cuencadel Congo. Indic\u00f3 que se ha capacitado y equipado a fuerzas de seguridad regionales para hacer frente a los cazadores furtivos internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>Unos 300 elefantes han sido asesinados por su marfil a lo largo del norte de Camer\u00fan desde noviembre de 2011.
