Es la pregunta\nque buscaron discutir los panelistas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mikaela Weisse, directora del proyecto <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wri.org\/our-work\/project\/global-forest-watch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Global Forest Watch <\/a>del Instituto de Recursos Mundiales, describi\u00f3 la forma en que la nueva tecnolog\u00eda de Alertas de Radar para la Detecci\u00f3n de Deforestaci\u00f3n (RADD de sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), se emplea en Indonesia para monitorear la deforestaci\u00f3n. Afirm\u00f3 que las compa\u00f1\u00edas productoras de aceite de palma pueden hacer uso de los datos obtenidos por RADD para asegurarse de que los productos utilizados en la cadena de suministros no vengan de \u00e1reas deforestadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  <div class='short-quote'>\n\t\t\t<blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t<p><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<footer>\n\t\t\t\t\t<cite title='Source Title'><\/cite>\n\t\t\t\t<\/footer>\n\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t<\/div>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En Per\u00fa,\ncomunidades ind\u00edgenas emplean una tecnolog\u00eda similar que brinda un tipo de\nalerta de deforestaci\u00f3n disponible al p\u00fablico, para respaldar las quejas legales\nsobre la deforestaci\u00f3n local, afirm\u00f3 Weisse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHan sido tan exitosos que en la actualidad tienen casi ninguna alerta de deforestaci\u00f3n en su territorio\u201d.  Pero los datos representan solo el primer paso y la informaci\u00f3n de alertas tan tempranas debe conllevar a acciones y resultados reales en el campo, agreg\u00f3. Existe a\u00fan un importante desaf\u00edo en la presentaci\u00f3n de resultados e informaci\u00f3n de los trabajadores en campo en zonas sin acceso a Internet.
