El caso de la bolaina en Per\u00fa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Desde hace mucho, el bosque es visto como una \u201cred de seguridad\u201d para los agricultores, quienes pueden cultivar \u00e1rboles en purmas como una suerte de \u201cahorro para el futuro\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 pasar\u00eda si tratar de hacer uso de ese ahorro fuera ilegal?<\/p>\n<p>Esto es precisamente lo que ha ocurrido en la Amazonia peruana, donde la ley permite a los agricultores talar \u00e1rboles de bolaina de r\u00e1pido crecimiento para su propio uso, pero no para la venta. Si los agricultores llevan los \u00e1rboles al mercado, se arriesgan a recibir una multa o a que confisquen su madera, o se ven obligados a pagar sobornos en el camino.<\/p>\n<p>Todo esto ocurre mientras la demanda de madera sigue en alza en las zonas urbanas del Per\u00fa, donde se le emplea como un material de construcci\u00f3n s\u00f3lido y econ\u00f3mico, y ayuda a crear cientos de puestos de trabajo.<\/p>\n<p>Una serie de historias de mayo del 2014 se centraron en una investigaci\u00f3n en curso del Centro para la Investigaci\u00f3n Forestal Internacional (CIFOR), que busca comprender mejor la cadena de valor de la bolaina, y potencialmente ayudar a despenalizarla.<\/p>\n<p>En ocasiones, se culpa de la deforestaci\u00f3n amaz\u00f3nica a los peque\u00f1os agricultores que despejan peque\u00f1os campos para sus cultivos, pero ellos \u201cno son los malos\u201d de esta historia dice la investigadora de CIFOR Robin Sears.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo chocan los beneficios y las pol\u00edticas en los bosques del Per\u00fa?
