Realmente tenemos que pensar muy bien hacia d\u00f3nde encaminarnos ahora.<\/p>\n<p>Quisiera empezar diciendo que este a\u00f1o en verdad tenemos que centrarnos en el \u201cc\u00f3mo\u201d. El a\u00f1o pasado abordamos el \u201cqu\u00e9\u201d: \u00bfQu\u00e9 es esto? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 estamos aqu\u00ed? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 debemos empezar a trabajar juntos?<\/p>\n<p>Nos dimos cuenta de que era una buena idea, pero ahora tenemos que ahondar en el tema y entender el \u201cc\u00f3mo\u201d. \u00bfY por qu\u00e9 creemos en el enfoque de paisajes, en primer lugar? Creo que la respuesta es simplemente que todos estamos de acuerdo en que necesitamos paisajes saludables para cumplir tanto con el reto del cambio clim\u00e1tico, como con todos los aspectos del desarrollo sostenible.<\/p>\n<p>Con esto, estamos hablando de una buena parte de las soluciones, y hoy quiero retarlos a pensar en grande. Piensen en el panorama general. Es el planeta; son todos los paisajes. Este es un foro ideal para discutir c\u00f3mo podemos hallar esas soluciones integradas. Debemos hablar sobre c\u00f3mo ampliar la escala. No debemos quedarnos satisfechos con estudios de caso individuales o con enfoques parciales. Y quiero retarlos a hacer esto en el foro de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n, por supuesto, como Rachel Kyte se\u00f1al\u00f3, es un asunto urgente. Tenemos que trabajar con rapidez, y debemos comprometernos a avanzar.<\/p>\n<p>Durante mucho tiempo hemos estado atrapados en entornos prioritarios sectoriales. Ahora tenemos la oportunidad de cambiar eso en la agroforester\u00eda, la agricultura, los peque\u00f1os agricultores, el sector empresarial y el sector financiero. Hay mucho por hacer.<\/p>\n<p>Desde CIFOR, por supuesto, tenemos una perspectiva forestal. Nos fijamos en las muchas contribuciones que puede tener la agroforester\u00eda como sector en todos estos programas. Siempre hemos trabajado en todos los sectores paisajes y hemos visto los bosques en contexto. Y, naturalmente, eso nos ha llevado a pensar en. Y el punto aqu\u00ed es que el trabajo conjunto a nivel de paisajes fortalece la agroforester\u00eda. A veces escuchamos que los cr\u00edticos indican lo contrario, pero creo que todos debemos asumir esta perspectiva. Cualquiera sea el sector al que representemos, un enfoque de paisajes fortalece lo que estamos tratando de conseguir.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em> <\/em><em>El trabajo conjunto a nivel de los paisajes fortalece la agroforester\u00eda.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Voy a destacar tres puntos. El primero tiene que ver con los derechos humanos y la seguridad. Estos son prerrequisitos para el enfoque de paisajes. Los paisajes tienen que ver esencialmente con negociar prioridades y llegar a acciones integradas. Pero no tiene mucho sentido sugerir estos enfoques si las partes interesadas de los paisajes a\u00fan mueren luchando por su derecho a promover tales prioridades. Adem\u00e1s, por supuesto, tenemos la equidad, la salud, la seguridad alimentaria y el g\u00e9nero, que son aspectos que se superponen a las metas relacionadas con los paisajes.<\/p>\n<p>En segundo lugar, las finanzas. Las finanzas para el uso sostenible del suelo deben evolucionar. Muchas de las prioridades de los paisajes van m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la rentabilidad econ\u00f3mica como tal. Pero est\u00e1 claro que el sector financiero debe dar un paso adelante si hablamos en serio sobre el enfoque de paisajes y sobre ampliar la escala. Lamento decir que en mi opini\u00f3n el <a href=\"http:\/\/news.gcfund.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Fondo Verde para el Clima<\/a> no va a resolver el problema. Va a ser muy \u00fatil, va a generar compromisos pol\u00edticos, pero eso no bastar\u00e1.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> <em>Est\u00e1 claro que el sector financiero debe dar un paso adelante si hablamos en serio.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Tenemos que conectar los grandes fondos de capital con las necesidades de los peque\u00f1os productores para inversiones en uso del suelo. Tenemos que hablar de billones, no de miles de millones. Tenemos que simplificar. Tenemos que preparar el camino a trav\u00e9s de indicadores de sostenibilidad inteligentes, reducir los costos de transacci\u00f3n y mejorar la gesti\u00f3n de riesgos. Las finanzas son un gran reto.<\/p>\n<p>Como  tercer y \u00faltimo punto creo que hay que mejorar el intercambio de conocimientos. En el mundo cient\u00edfico tenemos muchos art\u00edculos relacionados con la gesti\u00f3n del paisaje. Y, seamos honestos, no es un concepto nuevo. Hemos trabajado en \u00e9l durante d\u00e9cadas, tal vez incluso siglos. Se cuenta con mucho trabajo al respecto, y no hay muchas formas distintas de hacer las cosas. Se han reportado muchos ejemplos de \u00e9xito, pero de una manera muy fragmentaria. Ello hace dif\u00edcil pensar en ampliar la escala.<\/p>\n<p>En CIFOR, este a\u00f1o hemos realizado b\u00fasquedas sistem\u00e1ticas de evidencia en aproximadamente 13.000 documentos, y hemos encontrado 47 casos en los que el enfoque de paisajes es aplicado en la pr\u00e1ctica. Sabemos que hay muchos m\u00e1s, pero este conocimiento no se comparte lo suficiente. Tenemos que mejorar eso.<\/p>\n<p>En conclusi\u00f3n, hay urgencia en el tema de ampliar la escala. Y ya sea que hablemos de derechos, finanzas o investigaci\u00f3n para los paisajes, no debemos tener miedo de pensar en grande, de pensar muy en grande.
